don't use the Centaur much due to the fan noise. What mod. (size) Papst 57 CFM do you use? Would like to use the Centaur on ssb too.

Taylor 572B's from RF Parts and replaced the
original 100 CFM fan with a 57 CFM Papst fan at the same time. The amp now
runs cooler, quieter, and produces 6-700 watts. Others have replaced the
original fan with units as small as 25 CFM and report good results.

How is it that it is okay to replace a 100 CFM fan with a lower air flow model? Do the Taylor 572Bs not require as much air flow as 811s? Or did Ten-Tec build it for RTTY 100% duty cycle? What happens if you use it for RTTY after you put in the lower flow fan? Or is that just something you never want to do?
