When I was looking to buy an Omni VI Plus I called Ten-Tec and talked to
the support engineer for the Omni's (name omitted). I was told that for
all intents and purposes the Omni-VI with Option Pack 3 was functionally
and electrically identical to thte Omni-VI Plus and for that fact
absolutely the best buy when they sell them used.
Now there is a difference in Omni-VI Plus models:- Later model Omni-VI Plus transceivers had circuit boards with SMT components rather than through the hole types. That is what I can share on this subject. Jerald, KG6TT |
