information. A couple of details that I didn't see in the previous 
responses:

There is no such thing as a Paragon I, it is just a plain Paragon.

The AM TX on a Paragon II is SSB with a reinserted carrier. You get to 
select which sideband you transmit. Some AM purists will say this isn't 
real AM. I think it's kind of neat. If I wanted to get serious about AM, 
I'd want a high level plate modulated boat anchor of some sort (T-368, 
BC-610, Johnson Desk KW, Globe King 500, RCA BT1-K, etc.) lacking that 
kind of heavy metal, I think it may be an advantage to be able to put 
most of your sideband power where the least QRM is for the guy listening.
