If you have increased the AGC threshold, either with the THRESHOLD control or possibly by the curent link between RFGAIN and THRESHOLD now on the RF gain control, it is normal for the noise level to appear to increase when you engage NR. What's really happening is the THRESHOLD level has been reduced. This happens because in the current firmware, engaging NR readjusts the THRESHOLD level to a lower value to optimize the environment for effective NR. Grant/NQ5T |
