On this I'd like to add a comment.
One of the issues with the Orion is the design of the Mic Jack, It really
needed another pin to return the sheild of the ground. It would be nice also
to handle new 'balanced' mics ( sorry for my terminoligy here ). Many of us
have to solder the sheild to the mic jack case to acheive the proper
grounding and audio performance, ( my self included ). Heil even has
instructions for modifing the Orion to handle some of the high end balanced
mics. More pins were needed to handle all this so the 8 pin jack is very
very welcome addition. I hope it will handle all the Mic issues arising
from Orion I
I'm also Hopeing TT will sell their mics with the new jacks already set up.
