Lou, Congratulations on getting back into Ham radio, I really think if I were in your shoes I would really have to consider something along the line of a Omni B series (546), their a very good cw rig, their simple to operate, parts are around and besides they do a all-round good job, and you can pick them up very reasonable ($150.00 to $300.00) depending on the condition.
