This happens in other jobs too!
A fellow ham here in Uk works for Volkswagen. Volkswagen own the Bentley
very high-end luxury marque (forget Cadillacs!) and he gets to "take one
home for the weekend" to bring his friends to the Ham Conventions

I took a production line unit home for the first time on Nov. 2 and ran
it for several hours in the
Sweepstakes CW contest last weekend. I've been using it a lot,
listening a lot, and leaving it on
all night every night to see if anything happens. There are several
other people here who are doing
the same thing in an effort to see if anything last-minute needs to be
addressed.
