Just be careful with the grid current and they will last longer than you 
will.  Figuring 5 hours of transmit time per day, the tubes should run about 
11 years.

As to warm-up, Alpha has a good start circuit and when it's ready to start, 
it will.  Same true for the Tentec Titan.  As I see it, there's no sense 
boiling off a couple of hours of electrons from the cathode of those 
expensive tubes.
