You can feed a beam or log periodic with ladder line.

Just takes some wide spaced line, with sturdy spacers with each line
insulated. Plenty of wrap angle loop, and at the antenna, you incorporate
a balun for a Yagi to go from balanced line to unbalanced Yagi feed. Or
feed the Yagi balanced in such as the as the Beta match.

We have a local ham who feeds one of the big Log Periodic arrays (rotateable
beam) that way. His is for 7 to 30 MHz. He feeds parallel line all the way
to the shack, and has balanced switching on the shack ceiling for his
feeders.
