I agree with that point entirely.  My observation was just that, based on
one data point, that may or not be statistically different from any other
measurement of the same parameters, given possible unit-to-unit variation,
equipment calibration errors or differences, small differences in technique,
or how a reading is estimated from a meter indication that is jumping around
plus or minus a couple of dB.  

It was intended as no more than a casual observation in any case.
