The fishing of the line down a
floor, through the ceilings and through the finished basement walls made the
cost expensive. Safety is of major concern and whatever approach I do take
I want it to confirm to the code.
Most building codes and some licensed electricians will allow you to use cheaper labor to run the conduit and pull the wires or cable, and save the connections for the licensed electrician. The run of the conduit or cable still needs to be done according to code, and the electrician or inspector signing for it needs to be able to see that. Buy a copy of NFPA NEC so you can read up on how many supports per foot, minimum bend radius, distance from gas and water lines, and all the other details that might make a difference along the cable/conduit run.
 maybe just invest in
more antenna work which is probably the best bang for the buck !
Yep!
