The option 3 mod was only done at the factory. You could ask if they still
can do it.  I recall there was a short window when the mod was first
introduced and I had mine done, so it might be too late now.

OK so to move from an opt2 to an opt3 I plug in a new filter board and
install a new switch on the front panel?
