----- Original Message ----- From: "Ken Brown" <ken.d.brown@hawaiiantel.net> Did the original Omni VI have DSP? I thought that the DSP was added with one of the options???. The Omni VI DSP is done in the audio, only for receive, not at a 15 kHz or other low IF. My original 6 had what Ten tec called CW DSP filter. It was a LP audio filter with 5 steps from 600 to 1400cycles. And also had auto DSP notch. I think the 6+ added what TenTec refers to as DSP noise reduction but i don't remember just what that consists of. None of the Omni VI rigs have dual receivers......... The only thing I really miss. I make up for it by using one of many separate receivers I have in the shack. 73, WA4TT |
