[TenTec] Pin 1 Issue ???

For years I have been getting RF into my audio when I use my TT 705 mic 
(or Heil headset) on SSB on my Omni VI, Option 3.  (Must be why I 
operate 90% CW and 10% digital).  :-)

I've heard a bit about a so-called "pin 1" issue with the  mic.

Can anyone explain this to me; i.e., what the problem is and what the 
fix might be? (or how to search the archives)
