Paul,
Well it was a salad bowl mixture of plain text, coded 5 letter groups and those blasted parts and equipment requistions that we had to send out containing numbers, letters, hyphens, slashes in seemingly random order and those were always fun.

In 1963 at Radioman Class "A" school (6 mos) in Bainbridge, MD graduation beside a written test was 22 wpm correct copy "no mistakes" for 1/2 hour on a mill. Sounds long but 1/2 hour goes quick!
