OK...in that case I would suspect the plug on the headphones is wired wrong or is defective. Can you test it with other headsets?

I did 2 master resets. With the first one I simply replied I wanted to retain the user settings and filters. That did not bring the desired results. In the second master reset I reset the user settings (thankfully I wrote them down) and filters. This too DID NOT bring any changes. When I slide the headphone plug into the jack when the first part of the jack connects I have clear audio in one ear. But when I slide the plug all the way in both ears are severely distorted.

Any more suggestions I can try before calling Sevierville on Monday?
