I think the new Elecraft rig is well styled. It's clean and functional, unlike the new high end rigs from Yaesu and Icom. The only things those radios need to complete the look are tailfins and chrome. They look like parodies of radios, with the obvious intent being to place as many buttons and knobs as physically possible on the front panel, regardless of function... ridiculous. Kudos to Elecraft and to Tentec for producing radios with a "form follows function" mindset. John K5MO |
