John,
My Orion 1 exhibits what you describe - I have nothing connected to
Ant 2, but if I switch from Ant 1 with a signal on it to Ant 2, I can still
hear the signal, though faintly, from the Ant 1 input (or some common
coupling.) I attribute it to the high gain of the Orion, but it could also
be a lack of strenuous isolation between the two positions. Gauging by the
S-meter, an S+ signal goes to something that doesn't move the S-meter, but
can be copied when the ant selection is changed. I can't believe others are
not hearing this - I have not owned a rig in years (TT, ICOM, KW) that
didn't exhibit this kind of behavior (not that one doesn't exist).

Duane....please explain a tad more. As I mentioned, I can switch from ANT1
on the front panel to ANT2 on the front panel while having the only antenna
on ANT1 on the rear panel. When switching between ANT1 and ANT2 on the
front panel I can hear in both positions. The other three responses I have
received cannot. I don't believe there should be any coupling between the
two switch positions.
