Sounds like a great mod Ron. Another really cool mod I saw on a 238
was replacing the tuning dial with a turns counter. I haven't seen
that one documented though. One of these days I might get together
with the skillful local ham who did it and document it.

meters.
Heating used to cause the SWR to 'drift', even at 100 Watts in some
