What I don't like about the OMNI VII?
So far, after three weeks, nothing! Having
a tuner for six meters would be nice. Hopefully
a lightweight headset(like W2ENY sells) will be
available soon.
I went from an OMNI VI+ to the VII. For a short
time I missed the big-box and simple elegance of
the VI+. Most, if not all controls on the VII
work as well as the VI+, plus have levels that
can be changed in menu. Transmit audio with the
708 mic got very good reports with flat settings.
Receive audio sounds very nice to me with the in-
ternal speaker. I do use an external speaker(Drake
MS-4). I like to place a speaker several feet away
from operating position.
Anyway, you only asked about dislikes. Seems I
have a case of the "can't help its" about this rig.
