The workshop where Samuel F. B. Morse and Alfred Vail
developed the first practical telegraph has reopened
after major refurbishment.

The workshop is part of the Historic Speedwell museum
in Morristown, NJ.
BTW, while Morse had worked on equipment designs
and a code of his own, Vail's designs and code
were what proved successful.
