The same happened here in NSW Australia.  We start in October and finish 
last weekend in March.  Whish really gets up my nose as I have little use of 
the so-called extra time.
But my car's clock and a couple of others are set to Geographical Time not 
Political Time.  ie Plus 10 hours not Plus eleven hours.
