Hi Mike, Maybe the heterodyne oscillator for 80m has low output, or it may be far enough off frequency to be attenuated by the 80m filtering. If possible, follow the RF from the PTO through the mixer with an oscilliscope on a good band and on 80m and compare voltage levels.
