I agree with others that the most likely cause is magnetic pickup or
AC grounding problems, but there could be another source. I have
found that I get fan noise from the power supply coupling into the mic
mechanically, through the short boom that I use. An anti-vibration
mount is a good idea -- except as K9YC says, there is no practical
reason not to use your roll-off controls to filter out all this
garbage below 200 Hz and save yourself the hassle of fixing it. I use
-10 dB TX EQ (Audio button) and a 200 Hz L.F. Roll-off (SSB menu).
