Interesting. There isn't much inside those modules except the oscillator and a couple of filters. Maybe it has a bad ceramic cap. That can be hard to find.

I once had a problem with birdies with the 17 meter module. Moving
around some of the harness wires that connect to the band module socket
cured it.
