My conclusion below: I thought I had the perfect solution until Terry just posted his post. My idea: Purchase a naked K3/10 kit with no options and try it for a month of two. If it works for me, I add on options. If not, I sell it and get an Omni VII. But after reading the warranty policy, that means my buyer wouldn't have any warranty, which lowers the resale value. Hmmmmm. Gentlemen (I don't recall any YLs in the thread), this has been a most interesting thread for me. Thank you. I feel I know both radios better. I'm leaning towards the K3, but it's not conclusive. I think now I will make an extended effort to find one locally so I can try it. 73 Rick, NJ0IP / DJ0IP |
