Just to throw a jinx in the comments, my OII returns to whatever I had setup before I turned her off. BW, PWR, etc, same with User 1 and User 2.
I find the 2.044 very similar to 2.039 version.
Could there be a difference within the radio , ie tolerances of components differing?

Last night I observed a problem somewhat similar to what Rick is describing.

I noticed that what ever setting the variable BW is reading prior to shutting the radio off is not the same BW setting that is restored if you turn the radio off and then turn it back on. For example if I was in SSB mode, with BW set to 3000 and then turn the radio off and then back on; after boot-up the BW setting may come up as 2480 or some other number but not 3000 where it was at prior to shut down. Same occurs in CW mode, and can be replicated.

Maybe related to same problem below. Can anyone else validate the power on/off sequence and confirm if their BW setting was restored to same value as it was before turning the power off?

Thanks

Here are three bugs which I have found in the recent 2.044A firmware update.
I have reported them to Ten-Tec:

The fix "fixed restoration of bandwidth when recalling USER memory" does not work correctly in v 2.044A. It behaves differently than it did in 2.043, but
it is still incorrect.
When I recall a USER memory, the bandwidth always gets set to 1000 Hz for
CW, 2400 Hz for FSK and 100 Hz for SSB. It
does not reset to the value I tried to store in a USER memory.

When I push the RECALL button and then recall the Factory Default USER
settings, the resulting screen shows PWR set to 100, and the value of PWR
is "frozen,"
and cannot be changed in the normal way by highlighting the
value and adjusting it with the MULTI knob.

in v 2.044A, the value of "AGC Hang" is not restored to the value stored in
the USER memory when recalling a USER memory.
