TenTec and related Items For Sale:

HF Transceiver, Antenna Tuner, Wattmeters / SWR Bridges,
Power Supplies, Microphone, and more

TenTec 585 Paragon HF Transceiver:

The Paragon is a top of the line transceiver that includes a
general coverage receiver. It covers 160-10 meters, including
WARC bands, with 100 watts output. The receiver is fantastic.
It has dual VFOs and many memories built in, along with a
speech processor. Basically, it has about every feature that
a ham could want in an HF rig.

This particular unit works 100% as best I can tell. Since the
rig does so many things, I am sure that there is something I
didn't test, but I don't know what it is (or I would have
tested it!). It has had all updates completed by TenTec.

Cosmetically, it is in extremely nice shape. The front panel
is extremely good. Most all of the lettering is clean and
crisp. This one also has the Giehl chip in it making it
similar to a Paragon II.

Large manual and power cord included for $650.

TenTec 238 Roller Inductor Antenna Tuner:

This HF antenna tuner will handle the full legal limit, and will
match almost anything. It is rated to match loads up to 3000 ohms.
TenTec
It is an "L" network, which means that there is only one correct
matching point, and not false readings like some tuners. It has a
roller inductor that permits matching all HF bands, including the
WARC bands.

In addition to the tuner, it also includes a wattmeter with 200
and 2000 watt scales, plus SWR bridge. There is also an antenna
switch built in, so this unit will handle all of your antenna
needs.

This particular unit works fine, and looks extremely nice. I can
not find a scratch or defect on it. With paper work for $395.

Wattmeters and SWR Bridges:

MFJ 815 B Cross Needle Wattmeter:

The MFJ-815B cross-needle meter allows you to monitor both
forward and reflected power, and SWR simultaneously. There
are buttons to select either Peak or Average reading and
power ranges of 200/2000 watts forward and 50/500 watts
reflected. Frequency coverage is 1.8 to 60 MHz, so it covers
6 meters in addition to the HF bands, making it ideal for
some of the new rigs that include 6 meters.
The peak reading function of this meter and meter light
require external 12 V DC.

This particular unit works fine, and looks very close to new.
With paper work for $65.

MFJ 815 (not the B model) similar to above.
It works fine, and looks good. With paper work for $50.

SWR Bridges:

Quement SWB-2 Dual Meter
This unit features two separate meters -- one for reading
forward power and another for reading SWR. This permits one
to easily monitor both the power going out, and the SWR on
the antenna. It has SO-239 connectors on each end.
It will work on HF, and VHF, covering 3 to 150 MHz, so is
ideal for the new rigs that include 6 and 2 meters.
Works fine and looks great. With paper work for $40

Midland 23-126 SWR Bridge / Field Strength Meter
This is an HF SWR Bridge, but it can be used up thru 2 meters,
with slightly reduced accuracy. It is also a field strength
meter. SO-239 connectors.
This one works fine, and looks extremely nice. I do not see
any scratches on it; it may not have ever been used. In its
original box with original instructions and small telescoping
antenna. $35

ThordTest SWFS-2 SWR Bridge / Field Strength Meter
Appears to be the same as the Midland above, but the outer
case is beige instead of black.
In original box, with original instruction sheet, and antenna.
$30

TenTec Power Supplies:

TenTec Model 280 power supply, 20 amps at 13 V DC
This supply is quite heavy duty electrically. It has 2 pass
transistors, instead of the one that some have. It also has an
ammeter on it.
This one works fine, and looks OK as well.
With paper work for $100.

"Switcher / 25" 25 amp switching power supply:
This is a 25 amp switching power supply in a case that
matches the early Omni series case, with the metal bezel
around it. It is in a case that is the same size as a 243
remote VFO. It has an ammeter on the front, along with
Switch, TenTec logo, and output bulb. The front panel
basically looks like a 280 power supply with a metal bezel,
but says "Switcher/25" on it. It is very quiet, and well
shielded, and does not produce any electrical noise that
I could find. $150

TenTec 705 desk microphone
This electret desk mic has the 4 pin connector, with PTT and
"hold" buttons. It works great, and looks like new.
With paper work for $75.

AEA PK-88, Packet Terminal Node Controller
This unit is a hardware interface between your computer and
your rig. It has actual hardware, instead of using computer
software to generate and decode the signal. Using the PK-88
is like using a real modem, as opposed to a "WinModem" for
internet access.
The PK-88 has good filtering, and does a super job on Packet.
Of course it can also be used for APRS.
This one works fine and looks fine also. Actually, it looks
close to new; I can not find a scratch on it.
The big thick manual is included, as is the computer cable,
radio to TNC cable, and power plug, all in the original box,
for $65.

AEA AC-1
"Wall wort" 12 V DC power supply at 1 amp.
Can be used with the AEA PK-232, PK-88 or others.
This unit has a 2.1 mm plug, with the center positive,
so it can be used on many different things that require
12 V DC at up to an amp, such as keyers, antenna tuners,
etc. $17

AEA "Wall cube" as above, but only 1/2 amp rating,
which is enough for the PK-88. $12

Prices do not include shipping from Florida.

Thanks.
