Inflation hasn't helped with ham equipment. What I have a problem with is
why a device like a QSK switch for a linear amplifier should sell for about
four hundred dollars! Then there are those over two thousand dollars beam
antennas.

It is the pits. I really like the Scout, it was simple and very easy to use. I ran itmobile for years. That was probably the simplest and least expensive way todesign a radio. Adding DSP does increase the price but also allows manyfeatures to be added. With the economy the way it is and what Washington isplanning to add to our costs, I doubt very much if we could bring out the Scout in the 500 to 600 dollar range. I appreciate the input Kevin and your interest in Ten-Tec. 73, Jack |
