If I need a tuner for a 100 watt rig and using only one antenna, then it seems like overkill to think about a TT238 or Palstar. The LDG line of simple auto tuners seems like a cost effective solution.
If you buy a tuner only capable of handling one or two hundred watts, and then you decide to get an amplifier, you'll have to get a new tuner, (or change your antenna[s] so that you don't need a tuner).

All of the manually adjusted tuners that can handle legal limit power will work with low power. All or most of the auto tuning tuners that can handle higher powers (there are not many that can really do full legal limit) will also work nicely at low power. There may be some higher power auto tuners that need more than QRP power levels to make their SWR detectors work. Most require, or at least suggest, using lower power while tuning anyway.
