It seems to me that a remote 263-G style DDS along with a DDS replacement for the main VFO could provide the DUAL RX capability for the CORSAIR/CORSAIR-II. I would like to have the RA-RB, TA-TB, RAB, Reverse and A-B balance controls on the remote DDS.

Barry,

You'd be amazed how much nicer the Corsair feels with the original
tuning knob driving an encoder rather than the PTO. I even epoxied some
steel nuts to the inside of the knob to give it extra weight! I really
can "spin the dial" now.

I find the "split" function really intuitive, the way Joe has arranged
the software. The only thing it doesn't offer which I have on the
external VFO is the "dual listen" function.

My C2 DDS pipe dream: package the DDS/encoder in a small sloped

frequency, and include switches like 263G functionality for RX A/B TX
A/B

wow

While there's nothing wrong with my Corsair II at the moment, this looks like it wouldn't be a bad thing to have around. And it would certainly make an interesting replacement for the remote VFO... to say nothing of other potential uses...
