The Ten Tec Antenna Tuner Tuner kit is a noise bridge with a fixed 50 
ohm reference to compare to the Antenna.  It has an audio modulation 
inserted on the Noise signal to make the match point stand out more 
easily.  I use it to tune up without putting a signal on the air.
It is the most courteous way to tune up an antenna and tuner.  Just be 
sure to switch the bridge out of the set up before you transmit from 
your radio!  (The bridge substitutes on the input of the tuner for the 
transmitter, so usually that should not be a problem)
