The NR you are talking about does not exist on any radio. Still to this day I have never seen an NR that truely helps with copy. They might make things quieter but copy is always best under difficult conditions with NR off.

Well said and totally agree Paul. Limited engineering resources can
be put to much better use. If the rig mfr provides I.F. output,
they've done their job.
