Sounds like a good plan.

On occasion my bride has made me custom covers from cloth backed vinyl fabric we buy at the local fabric and craft store. She just sews a seam in the corners, and they fit nicely - but no vinyl windows like the fancy ones have.

The only trick to this latter option is getting her to make them when I want them, instead of waiting until it comes up on HER calendar...

Ooops - my first reply will probably bounce back to me as I forgot to
put it in plain text. My dust covers are not as fancy as yours. I use
medium sized terry cloth hand towels. Easy to shake out and run through
the wash. Not very expensive so not much lost if I damage one. Best
regards and Happy Holidays from my house to your house.
