But is one going to operate at 30 MHz frequently? Doubtful. Of course loss decreases with frequency. Anytime I have a feedline total loss less than 1 dB measured {key point is measured not "book" numbers} I'm happy. Same with SWR values being less than 3:1. Usually the difference between 3:1 and 1:1 is not noticeable on either end.

Don't sweat or freat the small stuff. It isn't worth it at HF. Now at 432 MHz or 1296 MHz I nit picking for every 0.1 dB I can find.

It looks like maybe the LMR-400 has two tenths of a deciBel more loss below 30 MHz, IF everything is perfect with the Heliax connectors and the rotor jumper. The 75 feet of LMR-400 is a lot easier too.
