Essentially, the Jupiter is a Pegasus with front panels controls added. There are other differences such as better final protection in the Jupiter but they really are the same radio.

The Jupiter has two different command sets. In can run with exactly the pegasus command set in Pegasus Emulation mode. It also has a very different command set while running in front panel mode. The front panel mode command set is no where near as complete as the Pegasus emulation command set. The front panel command set was mainly for logging programs.

TT Equipment Question:

What is the technical relationship between the Pegasus and Jupiter - do
they use different command sets? Are they the same rig, but one has a
set of front panel controls? Is there a previously written explanation
of this I can read?

Thanks.
