The Jupiter was developed as the "Pegasus FP" -- FP for Front Panel.

A Jupiter IS a Pegasus, but a Pegasus is NOT a Jupiter -- the Jupiter has an
additional command set when not emulating the Pegasus.

The Pegasus/Jupiter has an interesting history, you can find out a lot with
a little bit of searching the Internet. Especially when you compare it to
the Kachina 505 DSP rig, which sold new (at the time) for circa $2000 -- the
Pegasus outperformed it (a point I know some will argue) for about half the
cost, IIRC.

TT Equipment Question:

What is the technical relationship between the Pegasus and Jupiter - do
they use different command sets? Are they the same rig, but one has a
set of front panel controls? Is there a previously written explanation
of this I can read?

Thanks.
