Rick,
You are mirroring my thoughts exactly. That's the way I would want my VOX to
operate.

I think that is a good feature.
Let's say you turn the VOX on, turn the rig off.
Later you turn the rig on and forget that the VOX is on. Then you leave the
room.
The dog or cat will have no problem triggering the radio into TX mode.
I prefer it as is. That way you have to knowingly turn the VOX on in order
to activate it.

Subject: [TenTec] Eagle Question
I have one of the latest Eagles which I purchased during the last "sale".
Really enjoy the rig and learning all the little tricks.
Not comparing radio wise as I have it sitting next to a K3. But I do have
one question that maybe you guru's can comment on. Its just a small peeve
that bothers me.
Lets say I'm on 40 meters and engage the vox. I turn the rig off and when
repowered, the vox does not stay on. Most rigs I've used don't lose the
setting when turning on/off/on. Not a big deal and i'm adjusting. Just
wondering if anyone else had ever talked about this small quirk?
