I am not about to armchair QB this transition, but if it were me...
1) I would have RKR pull Ten Tec information from the website, and
basically stop selling the radios. Right now if I go to the website it
look like I can buy a radio, or send it in for service like normal.
2) Stop doling out information to the community via a third party. While
I can see how John wants to give people comfort, giving partial or
incomplete information does the company no good.
I really do hope Ten Tec survives... it is going to take time to dig the
brand out of the hole that is for sure. I do hope that part of the new
game plan is to include full schematics as well as the therory of operation
in each manual. This will help to reduce some of the phone/email tech
support requirements.
