I for one, will wait for the next generation of contest grade transceivers. I
do like the concept of the IC 7300, and I might play with one as a replacement
for my TS 590S which I use for portable operation only.

My Orion II is down now. I am waiting for Ten Tec to call me back with either
Price and Delivery for K6, or the specs for me to find an equivalent reed
relay. It's been a few days now.

I must say that my FTdx 5000, which is a newer design than the 566, offers all
the features I need, and DSP tools which are superior to my Orion. I like Orion
ergonomics better, because I have used it extensively over the last ten years,
but I get by just fine with the busy Yaesu front panel.

I'm hoping Ten Tec will fully recover soon. I will wait to see how they extend
the state of the art with the O3, which they apparently expect to design and
build. Judging from my now obsolete FTdx 5K, it will have to be redesigned from
the ground up.

73,

Mike
