<< What is the special NEC program used for trees, Elm-nec??
  >>

Well yeah, actually... but it only works for slippery elm....

>From my usual parking spot at my qth both the 2m local repeater and my
cellphone in the truck, with external antennas, are weak but useable... In
the summer both are 100% useless from the same parking spot.... The property
is heavily forested, so it would seem that the sap in the trees and leaves
absorbs 147mc and 800/900 mc energy very effectively...

However, my most effective beverage for EU runs through the forest and is
looking into a near field of two miles of forest beyond my property, so 1.8
mc energy does not seem to be significantly affected... and this seems
logical...
Also, the deciduous trees have shed their leaves and banked the sap in the
roots during 160 contest season...
