If it's simply weatherproofing you want George, I saw a "Hint and Kink" in QST attributed to the late W1FB...he used that insulating compound one uses on hand tools .....available in pints and quarts from Home Depot etc....dip the beast in the compound, let the excess run off and the coil is weatherproofed. ....dries in about an hour. Doug did say he noticed no ill effects used on a 1KW balun at full power.
