Like this "sounds" much better. A reasonable number of turns for the band in use and a larger diameter winding. Note that each time the number of turns is doubled, the reactance is multiplied by a ratio of four. 73 & HNY Mauri I4JMY > I checked my Hy-Gain 204BA manual and their recomended choke turns is > "12 turns of RG-8 cable 6" (15.2 CM in diameter)".
