That is not what Tom suggested. What he said was that Yaesu, knowing of the
problem through SEVERAL generations of bloody radios has done nothing about
fixing the design, even when the fix was a trivial change of a couple of
few cent parts.

What has K7JA said about the FT-1000D/MP/MARK-V key click problem? Has he
responded at all or just provided lip service? Does he read this and the MP
reflector? If he and the factory are aware of what's being said here I
don't understand why they wouldn't listen to their customers and make the
mods in their designs and factory updates to customers' radios.

Retrofitting existing radios is an extraordinarily expensive process,
even when the components cost nothing. Shipping, handling, and bench
labor don't come cheap.
