The end of the coax CCS center conductor always has sharp jagged edges. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that these can and will damage the female contacts, by removing the plating and worse. For that reason, we should *always* smooth the end of it with a small flat fine file until it feels nice and smooth.
