I agree Jim. Call History files, or the file that tells the logger zones
etc. make fast easy runs, but wheres the skill?
If youre running assisted, you don't even have to copy a call.
A buddy we did a test back in 2019, He's a SK now, Skin Cancer.
He did in 2019 the CQWWCW. He took 10th place in 9 land.
He was a No Code tech that up-graded to extra.
But he did not know a single character of code. The only code he
understood was 5NN.
He just did S&P with the spotting network. The logger did everything
else for him.
Yeah there were probably some busted spots, or wrong zones. But I bet
that number of errors
were not much worse than an average op would have also made in their heads.
Even serial numbers aren't that hard, you get a hint of what your number
will be from them from who he's working now.
He tells the other station 1234, if you get him next call you already
know you will be 1235. So even serial numbers are not really that hard.
Now ya want to really make it a copying contest? Yeah a changing number
sure, but not a serial number,
The Number I send you is the number I got FROM the station I worked
before you. That number could be anything!

If you don't want me participating in your contest, require a serial
number.
Yeah, don't make me copy anything.
I like contests with exchanges that make us work for it!
