SUBJECT: Stainless tower

I have a chance to buy some commercial tower made by a company called
Stainless or something sounding like that.

I is 24" on a side and the 25 foot sections bolt together with a single
bolt through a square pad. It looks like Rohn 65 where the sections
join only there is one bolt.

The price is $875 for 125 feet and I would need a crane to put it up.

I would appreciate any ideas on this.

As a side note..I moved out in the country where there are no antenna
restrictions but it seems as if the county wants to enact more restrictive
zoning. This zoning will cover lots of areas and not just towers but I want
to have all my stuff up asap. I ended up ordering an electric winch from a
company called Golo so wait until I get the thing and I will try to give
a report. I am still building another one. Then I will have 2 winches!!

I am planning on using some of that fiber board called Garolite and
was wondering if there are any special handling tricks. I have the
12x12 inch sheets and was wondering if anyone else uses it and what size for
what antenna. Would I always use the 12x12 sheet only vary the thickness??

another tid bit...Alpha has some new panels for the Alpha 77 series so if
you have the fuzzy paint you better be buying one cause it will be coming
off and Alpha may not make any more front panels.

That is all..over and out....*(is this a great hobby or what )

THANKS FOR READING THIS AND SHARING ANY IDEAS
