Ron,
This is precisely why I never solder the center conductor of
the coax to the PL-259's. There's always a clear air path for
electrons to flow into my antenna, that way. That solder
just stops up the electron flow to my antenna.....witness
the many, many stations in contests who exclaim how loud
my QRP signal is in SS contests. :-)
