If you think this statement is true, you better review your high school physics
book. ;<)
The axis of rotation or revolution is the centerline of the mast and the force
of the antenna and mast weight is acting downward
along that axis if your antenna is mounted at its balance point.
No matter what you choose to use your thrust bearing for, their intended is to
cause the majority of the force from the mass of your
mast and antenna to bear on your tower directly, not through the rotor. They
certainly do however aid in eliminating sideward
motion and reducing friction.
