I recently replaced a 15 year old TET HB34 with a Force 12 C-3 on a 50 foot
tower. The C-3 performace is better particulary on 20 Meters. I have no data
to offer in comparison but I know it out out performs the old TET which I
used for years. The C-3 at 50 feet was modeled using EZNEC 2.0. I can fax
you the results of the model and the actual SWR if you want. The wind load
is about the same. I recommend the C-3. It also provides a better than
dipole performance on 17 and 12 but must be tuned on those bands. The
auto-tuner in my TS-850 easily tunes the C-3 on both 17 and 12. Go for it.
